A glimpse of Thailand
There is more than just one Thailand. Between the Buddhist temples in the north, the modern capital of Bangkok and the paradise islands in the south, the country has much to offer. It is thus no coincidence that many luxury buyers concentrate their search in Thailand, one of the country’s most sought-after destinations is Bangkok, a metropolis of over 10 million inhabitants, with an intriguing mix of old and new; old-fashioned neighbourhoods and frenetic commercial quarters. In the city center and in well-connected areas away from the city’s noise are numerous luxury homes, with apartments in prestigious buildings being the most desirable.C
About Chiang Rai
Chiang Rai Heaven from the North.
Chiang Rai(Editor Joey Miller) is the artistic and horticultural centre of Thailand, situated in the Golden Triangle, lush jungle, mist-shrouded mountains, hill-tribe villages and tranquil views of rice paddies mark the Golden Triangle, the point in northern Thailand that converges with Laos and Myanmar (formerly Burma)where the Ruak and mighty Mekong rivers join. Chiang Rai is also a gateway to the neighboring countries, Laos and Myanmar.
Surrounded by mountains and lush green landscapes, Chiang Rai has Thailand’s best climate. The winter months, October through March, are perfect. It rarely rains, and the evenings are cool enough for a light jacket; the days warm enough for shorts, but not unbearably hot. Another advantage to this time of year is that there are few bugs or mosquitoes – a pleasant contrast to the rest of the year. April to September is humid and wet, but still less so than the southern plains.

Chiang Rai City remains a sleepy provincial town with a pleasant atmosphere. Compared to its sister town Chiang Mai, it has a more relaxed and down-to-earth feel but is never short on historical and cultural attractions of its own.
Founded in 1262 as the capital of the Mengrai Dynasty, after Chiang Saen, today the city retains a strong Lanna identity, mostly through its impressive collection of temples, art, language, cuisine and music. But unlike Chiang Mai, the city offers little diversity when it comes to nightlife, entertainment and shopping, and most of these are concentrated in the area around the Clock Tower.
Chiang Rai offers you a fun-filled stay with comfort, pleasure and luxury. Chiang Rai is a part of Northern Thailand and attracts tourists and locals in large numbers. Chiang Rai boasts of a happening nightlife and tourists can always be entertained around here with the myriad of options.
The city is gradually developing its tourist sector, beginning with its own Night Bazaar which is dotted with various kinds of souvenir stores and street food stalls, Saturday Night Walking Street and Jazz Festival. The riverside remains mostly undeveloped, albeit with a few luxury hotels along the waterfront.
To fully appreciate the beauty of the Mae Kok, it is best to hire a long-tail boat and take in the scenery along the two riverbanks. At the end of the day, Chiang Rai City is all about chilling out and taking it in slowly, savouring each moment as it comes.
